Beau, Mamaw, The Kitchen Witch
Lore
Beau Faye was born the third daughter of a powerful Green Witch, in the rolling foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Raised in an all women's witch commune, her upbringing was peaceful-- until the night her Aunt betrayed their coven and lead to the Night of Burning, an incident that saw the coven burned to the ground by mysterious forces (dark magic). Beau and her sister, Della, were among the handful of survivors that moved to Eastern Kentucky to stay with a sister coven. During the journey to Eastern Kentucky, Beau and Della's horse-drawn carriage was attacked by a rogue group of Hide Behinds, saved only by an unconventional hunter out past her strict father's curfew. Adalaide introduced herself to the sisters after saving them, to which her and Beau seemed to have an instant connection.
Setting into her new town of Windrop, Beau became familar with the small-town feud between the Huxleys and the Barclays, the patriarchs of both families butting heads over who deserved authority in the local hunting guild. As a witch, Beau and her sister were called upon by both families during local hunts, and became familar with both Adalaide Barclay and John Huxley, the two sixteen year old hunters from opposing kinfolk. Beau slowly became the bridge between the two young hunters, however hesitant they were about it, leading Adalaide and John to play nice around Beau to keep her happy.
As her first year with them dragged on, both hunters realized their feelings for Beau, leading to harder feelings. Realizing this, Beau withdrew from both of them for a three month period of time in which she came of age to take her mother's spot as mistress of her coven, just to return to Windrop when the small town was under seige by a werewolf attack. Getting caught in the local department store by a rogue alpha wolf, Adalaide was tending to John's nearly fatal wounds, when Beau showed up to help the fight. Adalaide confessed her feelings to Beau when as she believed they were about to be finished by the wolf, only to be rejected when Beau realized they couldn't be together, as two women, and live a normal life.
Two years later, Beau was married to John, and pregnant with their son, Jesse, after completely drifting apart from Adalaide. It never left her mind, that 'what if she had said yes' to Adalaide. Even though she felt fulfilled with John. Currently, Beau is a widow at 70 years old, living with her stubborn mule of a son and her even more reckless grandson, spending her days whipping up magical recipies to keep the men in her life in tip top shape.
